I'm not really sure, I've just always loved warm colors. On the way home from work, the train passes over a bridge that overlooks Boston, and it's usually around sunset, so there's just all types of crazy colors dancing around the buildings and off the water. That could be one inspiration I guess
I guess the music I listen to does it as well. I don't know how to explain it, but I listen to a lot of beat-heavy stuff, and it creates visuals in my head.
yeah, i could see that beeing an inspiration. music too is always a great source for getting feelings or vibes of a special style or concept. then the only thing left is beeing able to express it... always not that easy. it seems like you are starting to find your graphical identity. i dig it alot
A Thistle is a type of plant... It's really thorny looking. I got the screename from American Indian medicine or Shamanism. There are Animal, Mineral and Plant Totems on the medicine wheel. My animal is the Snake, my Mineral is Copper and my plant is the Thistle. My grandmother was Crow Indian, so I figured I'd look into the culture, although she was Roman Catholic.
I was grounded a lot when I was a kid, so I had a lot of time on my hands.
Thanks man... Yeah this shit was literally slapped together. I sketched it out on the Subway last night, trying to come up with some Tattoo ideas. I figured I'd color it, and I just came up with that "THSTL" logo this morning. It looks sorta thistle-y.
