FeaturedCommentsSo goin' back through your work in search of inspiration. I've noticed something that maybe accurate, or might just be me shoveling shit out'a my head. Ive noticed your steelo changing over the years, almost exactly like the Tarantino film history. Allow me to explain:
Lookin back at your first pieces, its apparent that you are inspired by 90s and late 80s shiz. Friday the 13th, Dawn of the Dead, From Dusk til Dawn, etc.. Its mad ill and suites your composition nicely, real nicely. Pulp Fiction EX: [link] , [link] , [link] As you go forward you tend to see more cleanly "thought out" "begining to end" pieces. Like your Zombie chicks and ABC pieces. Shit that sets a theme and/or follows a purpose. Kill Bill EX: [link] , [link] , [link] Your most recent shit, is maaaaad tight, by which i mean tied up thoroughly. A begining, a theme, and a grungy and wicked steelo. Much like, but not exactly like the Tarantino evolution. Inglorious Bastards EX: [link] , [link] , [link] Idk, maybe i've been off of work for too long, just my observation. Anyway, keep killin' it dude. That's a pretty cool way to look at it. It's kinda good to hear that it looks like my style's been going through a bit of a metamorphosis because I always try to do things just a little differently with every piece, so I'm always kinda learning shit, or at least THINK I'm learning something.
I'm glad someone's paying attention to this shit! |
